5 Things to Know This Week: Oct. 1 to 5
This week's highlight: a presentation by a retired White House curator.
Good morning, Chevy Chase! It's Monday, Oct. 1, and here are five things to know this week:
1.) Expect temperatures in the mid- to upper-70s (or perhaps into the low 80s) this week, with rain anticipated for Tuesday, according to Weather.com.
2.) The Town of Somerset Council will meet on Monday, Oct. 1, at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall (4510 Cumberland Ave.). The agenda, which is posted on the town's website, includes the introduction of a Storm Water Management Ordinance as recommended by the Town of Somerset Environmental Committee.
3.) Retired White House Curator Betty Monkman will give a presentation on the "Treasures of The White House" on Tuesday, Oct. 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Chevy Chase Village Hall.
