The Town of Somerset holds its annual town election tonight, from 5 to 9 p.m.

3.) The Town of Somerset's annual election takes place at the town hall (4510 Cumberland Ave.) from 5 to 9 p.m.
4.) The Village of North Chevy Chase Council will meet at 8 p.m. in the Youth Lounge of the North Chevy Chase Christian Church on Kensington Parkway.
5.) Today in history: One hundred and sixty years ago (in 1852), Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin was published in book form. It became a best seller in the United States, Britain, Europe and Asia, and was translated into over 60 languages, according to the Harriet Beecher Stowe Center.
