5 Things to Know Today: May 7, 2012
The real estate tax is on the agenda of tonight's Town of Somerset Council meeting.
Good morning, Chevy Chase! It's Monday, May 7, and here are five things to know today:
1.) Temperatures will be in the mid-70s, with mostly cloudy skies, according to Weather.com.
2.) The Town of Somerset Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at the town hall (4510 Cumberland Ave.). The meeting's agenda, which can be read on the town's website, includes a public hearing and motion to set the real estate tax for the next fiscal year.

5.) Today in history: Eighteen years ago (in 1994), "Norway's most famous painting, The Scream by Edvard Munch, was recovered almost three months after it was stolen from a museum in Oslo. The fragile painting was recovered undamaged at a hotel in Asgardstrand, about 40 miles south of Oslo, police said." It was so well known that the thieves couldn't sell it, according to History.com.
