UPDATE: Armed Robbery Reported At Geste Wine

A suspect used a gun to rob the Edgemoor Lane store, police report.

 

UPDATE, 5:44 p.m.: There's been no arrests so far in this afternoon's armed robbery of Geste Wine on Edgemoor Lane, police say.

Shortly after 2 p.m. Friday, a black male entered the eatery and wine shop, presented a gun and demanded cash, according to Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Rebecca Innocenti.

The man stole the cash and was last seen fleeing the business on foot, Innocenti said.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Original Post, 3:11 p.m.: Geste Wine was robbed at gunpoint Friday afternoon, Montgomery County police report.

Police received the call at 2:17 p.m., according to Officer Rebecca Innocenti, a police spokeswoman. A suspect used a gun to rob the store, she said.

Geste, an eatery and beer and wine store, is located at 4801 Edgemoor Lane, next door to the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center.
