The Bethesda Central Farm Market closed up shop for the season Tuesday with a special Thanksgiving-themed market. The market typically runs on Thursdays along Bethesda Lane and on Sundays behind Jaleo. The vendors will set up shop again in the spring.
Market co-founder Mitch Berliner said the mix of products and camarederie among the vendors made the market a successful one this year. "This year, I knew the market had arrived when it rained and we were still busy," Berliner said.
The Thanksgiving-themed market offered up pre-ordered turkeys, breads and pies, pre-prepared foods, sweet ice cream treats from Sweet Bite Creamery and pies from Buzz Bakery. "People wanted nice, fresh turkeys at the last minute, and it expanded from there," Berliner said.
