Chevy Chase Crime: Thefts from Vehicles via Broken Windows

Major crimes occurring in Chevy Chase between Dec. 3 and 12, according to the most recent crime summary released by the county police department.

 

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department in its summary of major crimes occurring in the county between Dec. 3 and 12. The mention of an arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7200 block of Chestnut Street, Chevy Chase, on Wednesday, Dec. 12, between 5 and 5:25 p.m. There was a forced entry, and property was taken.
  • Three thefts from vehicles occurred—one on Woodbine Street that involved an unlocked vehicle, and two in the Rosemary Hills area that involved vehicles entered via broken windows. Wallets, GPS units and cash were taken.
