Drybar is a step closer to being a reality in Georgetown. The blow-out only salon has an opening day scheduled for Oct. 19 and will start taking reservations Sept. 19.

The salon will be in the new building under construction at 1825 Wisconsin Ave. NW, next to the Safeway, between the future Noodles & Company (1815 Wisconsin Ave.) and the grocery (1855 Wisconsin Ave.).

Drybar offers blowouts for rates starting at $40, less than the typical Georgetown salon, which generally start at $55.

Drybar, which has locations in California, New York, Arizona and Georgia, also offers scalp massages, conditioning treatments, cuts for the younger set and even in-home styling.

You can even buy memberships, coupon books and gift certificates.
