Why Go: The cafe at the Whole Foods Market in Friendship Heights will be turned into a carnival celebrating the Whole Planet Foundation. Kids of all ages are welcome to play games, win prizes and enjoy tasty treats. All proceeds will go to Whole Planet Foundation. No prior registration is required.
Price: A $5 entrance fee buys five tickets and additional tickets are $1 each. One game is one ticket.
Where/When: Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA (9401 Old Georgetown Rd., Bethesda, MD). Saturday, March 31, at 2:30 p.m.
Why Go: The fourth annual YMCA Easter Egg Hunt will feature games, crafts, over 600 filled eggs and a special guest. There will be two hunts: one for kids 2 to 6 years old, and the other for kids 7 to 11 years old. (Kids should arrive early, as the hunts go fairly quickly.) Price: A donation of $10 provides attendees with a framed photo of their child with the Easter Bunny. All proceeds benefit the YMCA's Building Bridges Scholarship Campaign.

Why Go: Enjoy the smooth harmonies of the award-winning Capital Accord Chorus at a benefit concert for Manna Food Center. The concert will serve as a dress rehearsal for the chorus before it competes in the Region 19 Sweet Adelines International women's a cappella barbershop competition on April 21. Several quartets—Escapade, In Demand, Lustre, Revolution and Unchained Harmony—will also perform.
Price: While the concert is free, donations to the Manna Food Center, including non-perishable food items, are requested.

Why Go: The Photoworks Gallery at Glen Echo Park presents "Forces of Nature," an exhibition of black-and-white photography. The show's images record the visual beauty of the forces of nature on the natural and man-made worlds.
Where/When: John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Opera House (2700 F St. NW, Washington, DC). Saturday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 1, at 1:30 p.m.
Why Go: See the Shen Yun 2012 World Tour revive 5,000 years of Chinese culture. Shen Yun's artists include many winners of international dance and vocal competitions, and its orchestras include many musicians from world-renowned symphonies and conservatories.
