The median list price for 20815 properties in October was $1,195,000—up 3 percent from September and up 44 percent from October 2011, Redfin.com added.
But, Redfin.com reported, only 27 houses sold in October—the same as in September and down 10 percent from October 2011.
And, the median sale price for Chevy Chase properties in October was $840,000—down 0.1 percent from September but up 12.3 percent from October 2011, Redfin.com added.

*sigh* I love living here, but this is a reminder that I can't afford to do anything other than rent, unless I want a condo. And I wouldn't want a condo in the building I live in, so I'm pretty much out regardless.
