Two clusters of nighttime thefts from autos were recently reported in West Bethesda and Cabin John neighborhoods, police said.
Four of the incidents happened during the same time period, in the overnight hours between Feb. 27 and Feb. 28. A fifth theft was reported in early March.
In a recent crime report, police said that all of the vehicles were unlocked, and loose items-- mostly clothing -- were stolen.
