The Republican National Convention kicks off Monday in Tampa with a new schedule due to the threat from Tropical Storm Isaac, which has the potential to become a Category 2 hurricane later this week.
Maryland Republicans were drawn to Tampa despite the weather, and other Marylanders took an oppositional stance to the gathering of the GOP leadership for the official nomination of presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan.
Patch will have blanket coverage. Check out our blog from the youngest delegate at the convention, Evan Draim of Virginia, whom you may have seen and heard in local news interviews last week. His convention speech was in jeopardy due to schedue changes resulting from the storm.
