MoCo Housing Prices Rise Almost 12 Percent
Housing prices rose across the Washington, DC, region.
Over the past year, Montgomery County's housing prices increased more than those of any other county in the Washington, DC, region, according to a story in the Washington Examiner.
Housing prices in May rose 11.7 percent from the same time last year, and are up 5.7 percent year-to-date from last year, a Metropolitan Regional Information Systems report showed.
Neighboring Prince George's County didn't fare quite as well, but still showed an increase. Housing prices rose 7.3 percent from May of last year and 2.4 percent year-to-date from last year.
Prices are up 11 percent across the DC region from the same time last year, which includes a 66.7-percent jump in Falls Church City, up 7.7 percent year-to-date from last year, according to the report.
