Readers' Choice: Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA
Patch readers chose the Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA as their favorite workout spot.
In our second "Readers' Choice" contest, in which we asked readers to tell us about their favorite workout spots, the Bethesda-Chevy Chase YMCA emerged as the most popular workout spot in the area.
"What a great and diverse place to work out," wrote Patch reader June Gardner in a review of the YMCA.
"There are the standards: weights, machines, etc. and then there are the multiple pools (outdoor pool year 'round: fabulous!) as well as classes, tennis, sauna, etc. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful; it feels like family," Gardner added.
"I love the Bethesda Chevy Chase Y. I am training for a triathlon and am able to run, bike and swim each time I stop by," Patch reader Rachel Ullman wrote in a review.
"The equipment is in excellent condition and the pools are clean and clear. The staff is very friendly and helpful," she added.
ZenGo Fitness also did well in the contest, receiving over a dozen votes in the comment section of the poll.
"ZenGo Fitness in Bethesda is the best! Amazing total body work out with even better instructors and owners!! This should be at the top of your list!!" wrote Patch reader Kelly Weaver.
"ZenGo on Cordell Avenue is hands down the best ... it's led by a fantastic group of people, has an energetic and enthusiastic environment and you get an addictive and invigorating workout second to none. Thanks, Marc and team!" Patch reader Duffy K wrote in a review.
