Report: Air Rights Center for Sale at $257M

Real estate firm Cassidy Turley (manager of the Chevy Chase Pavilion) will market the property, The Gazette reports.

The Air Rights Center, a 710,000-square-foot downtown Bethesda office complex, is reportedly up for sale.

Owner TIAA-CREF has hired commercial real estate firm Cassidy Turley to market the property, The Gazette reported.

The $257-million price tag was reported by Real Estate Intelligence, according to The Gazette.

The property, near Wisconsin Avenue and Montgomery Lane on the Bethesda-Chevy Chase line, is home to businesses including Ruth's Chris Steak House, Bethesda Jewelers and the 216-room Hilton Garden Inn.

Cassidy Turley was chosen as the new property manager for the Chevy Chase Pavilion in Friendship Heights, Patch reported earlier this year.

And, TIAA-CREF also owns two other prime real estate parcels in Friendship Heights: the retail component of The Shops at Wisconsin Place (which it purchased last winter, Patch reported), and the Mazza Gallerie.
