The results are in!

Chevy Chase Patch's first "Rivals" contest featured six coffee shops in Chevy Chase, and asked readers to write reviews of their favorite ones.

The coffee shop with the most reviews was Frosting, A Cupcakery, which received three reviews and a cumulative rating of 4.67 stars.

"Best. Cupcakes. EVER! If we ever need cupcakes for a special occasion, we go to Frosting!" Lesley Olson wrote about Frosting, A Cupcakery.

"Simply the best cupcakes in the DC area. For real!" a Patch reader who goes by "Josh" added.

"Frosting is by far the best coffee shop in Chevy Chase!," "Lisa S." wrote.

"The Illy coffee is so rich ... . The sunny round table and outdoor seating are the perfect places to relax and watch the world go by."

And, "the baked goods are fluffy, flavorful and just the right size. Their gluten free options are also the best around! The owners and their staff are super friendly and passionate about making great coffee and treats for their customers," "Lisa S." added.

The cafe inside the Whole Foods Market in Friendship Heights received two reviews.

"Whole Foods has the best coffee in Chevy Chase/Friendship Heights! If you haven't had a Cafe Chatta you haven't lived!" wrote a Patch reader known as "J".

"Cafeluvr" concurred: "I am voting for Whole Foods Market in Friendship Heights. The accessibilty from the metro, walking into the cafe as soon as you enter the store. The ambience of having the cafe a level above the rest of the store with the cozy seating."

"Grab a great cup of coffee, rainforest blend in particular (the almond aroma is amazing) and pair with a tasty pastry (the jelly donuts are delicious) and your day is set!" "Cafeluvr" added.

Tynan Coffee and Tea received one short but very sweet review:

"Tynan is a great little coffee shop—their chai tea is excellent!" Todd Jasper wrote.

The other coffee shops included in the "Rivals" contest—Einstein Bros Bagels, Olympia Coffee Shoppe and Starbucks—received no reviews...yet. If you're a fan of these coffee shops, let others know by writing a review on Patch.
