Saks Fifth Avenue in Chevy Chase went pink on Wednesday night, Oct. 17, during the annual Key to the Cure Kick-Off Event, the proceeds from which will benefit women's cancer programs at Suburban Hospital.
It was a night of high glamor and lots of pink—in scarves, dresses, neckties and even in feather boas and hot pink wigs available for dressing up in at the photo booths.
Tickets started at $75 each, and the event was sold out, with more than 850 tickets sold. As of Thursday morning, more than $160,000 had been tallied from the event, according to Cynthia L. Merz, director of development, marketing and communications for the Suburban Hospital Foundation.
