Social Media Campaign Sparks Search For Missing Potomac Girl

Family, friends and strangers alike are searching for a missing 15-year-old Potomac girl, after she ran away in the early morning hours of Monday, April 9. Less than 24 hours after Victoria Yeutter was reported missing, hundreds of Facebook posts, Tweets, Tumblr posts and blogs are calling for her safe return.
Victoria is a freshman at Connelly School of the Holy Child and was last seen around midnight on Sunday by her mother, Cristy Yeutter.
"She ran away Sunday night over night, into Monday morning. We're not sure exactly when," Cristy Yeutter said. "I gave it a couple of hours in the morning to see if I could locate her. When it became apparent I couldn't I went to police and filed a missing person."
After going to police, Cristy Yeutter said that a close friend of Victoria had the idea to post a campaign looking for her on Facebook. The page profile picture, which describes Victoria and the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, was shared over 200 times in less than 17 hours. Cristy Yeutter and her family hope the social media blast will help find Victoria and bring her home.
"She's just going through a lot of issues and this was just her way of trying to deal with it I think," Cristy Yeutter said. "It seems to me that she's been planning it for while."
A missing person report for Victoria was filed April 9 around 1:07 p.m., according to police spokesperson Rebecca Innocenti. Patch will update this story as information becomes available.

Victoria Yeutter goes to my school, and I'm good friends with her younger sister Elena. All prayers from me have gone to Victoria and her family. If anybody happens to know her or think they know where she's gone, please send another blog like this one; so we can try to make this noticed. I've always known Victoria as a happy spirited girl, and I know everybody at school thinks the same. Please keep her in your prayers so we can be assured that she will be reunited with her family once again.

Victoria Yeutter also goes to my school. I always thought she was sweet and easy to talk to. She is a year older than me but she's very friendly. I don't know why she left and it is most likely not my business, but for whatever reason she had, I hope everything is ok for her. The publicity might be seen as hard for Victoria to come back to a normal life. Victoria, if you are reading this, we all miss you and we all care about you even though times may be hard for you. Especially being a freshmen. The transfer from middle to high school is always hard. I am making this transition next year too. I miss seeing you at school so come home when your ready because we all miss and love you!!!! <3<3<3<3<3 O_O
