Today, bookworms and reality-TV junkies will have the chance to meet Rosie Pope, author of “Mommy IQ” and star of the Bravo hit TV show “Pregnant in Heels.”

Writers on the Row kicked off Thursday in Bethesda, bringing bookworms face-to-face with favorite authors.

The event continues today and into the weekend, combining author readings, book signings and deal specials to businesses along Bethesda Row. 

Pope will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m. on Bethesda Lane.

Today’s special store and drink specials include 20 percent off full price items at Ginger and Urban Chic. From 6 to 8 p.m. customers at Sassanova get 20 percent off all heels and free gift with purchase of $50 or more, as well as champagne while shopping. Lebanese Taverna will offer a glass of champagne and Middle Eastern plates for $12, plus henna tattoos with a henna artist located in the lounge. Capital Teas will serve tea on Bethesda Lane.
