Police Release Photo in Theft from Vehicle, Identity Theft Case

Photo from Columbia bank show man and woman wanted for questioning in Bethesda case.

A case of theft of a purse, credit cards and personal checks from a vehicle parked in Carderock Park in Bethesda in January may be one step closer to being solved.

U.S. Park Police on Monday released a security camera photo of a man and a woman wanted for questioning regarding the theft from the vehicle, which was parked around 10 a.m. Jan. 19 in the park's north parking lot, according to police.

The owner of the vehicle discovered her purse was missing, according to police, who found neither obvious signs of forced entry nor fingerprints. The personal checks were cashed at a drive-through teller at the Capital One Bank at Minstrel Crossing in Columbia.
