About a year ago, Patch provided you with a list of the most popular liquor brands among Montgomery County residents in 2010. The list was so popular, we thought we'd check back with the county's Department of Liquor Control to see exactly what's been cluttering our liquor cabinets this past year.
Diane Wurdeman, who works with the county retail stores, was once again able to dig up a list of the most popular liquor, this time for 2011. The list, determined by the volume sold, looks at top liquor items -- so, the most popular sizes, flavors or proofs within a brand, rather than the most popular brands overall.
A big thanks to Wurdeman for her help!
So what was Montgomery County drinking in 2011? A hint: Once again, vodka brands head up the list. The top 20:

Diane Wurdeman is a greast asset for the Mont. Co. Liquor. While not a large vodka fan, she has helped me find some wonderful single malt scotches, once even have a bottle sent to my local store.
