Were You Caught In Terrible Traffic Tuesday?

Tuesday saw an increase in commute times as thousands of residents headed back to school and work.

Commuters braved the-day-after-Labor Day work and school rush today – an event named “Terrible Traffic Tuesday” by AAA.

Drivers were expected to see commutes increase from the summertime average of 20.4 minutes per day to 25.8 minutes, according to AAA, which released a heads up to drivers last week. The number of vehicles increases by an overall of 26 percent, with a total of 2.8 million commuters.

Numerous construction projects across Montgomery County added to the congestion woes, as well as the hundreds of school buses driving kids to and from school
