What could be better in the dead of winter than thinking about an early spring hike along the canal towpath, that glorious National Historical Park that runs all the way from Georgetown to Cumberland, MD?  

On Feb. 5, that's just what Chevy Chase At Home has in store when Jim Hines will take you on "A Virtual Tour of the C & O Canal."

Hines, a retired administrator from Montgomery County Public Schools, has long been active in the C&O Canal Association, where he currently coordinates volunteer maintenance involving the Park Service and the Association. He has hiked the entire length of the towpath and has great photos and stories to share.  

Come to our Meet & Mingle at the Chevy Chase Village Hall from 2 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 5 and take the tour, refreshments in hand!
