Humane Society's 'Bottom of the Ninth' is Saturday Oct. 13—Name Your Own Adoption Fee

WHAT: It’s the Bottom of the Ninth and bases are loaded as MCHS enters the home stretch and aims for the playoffs with its participation in the ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge! Due to the popularity and success of last month’s special promotion, MCHS’s Home Run Adoption Challenge once again will allow patrons to adopt a cat or dog for a fee they choose themselves. Come meet our lineup on the cat team and dog team, and take home one of our all-stars as your newest family member.

Additional activities:

  • Meet and greet several of MCHS’s All-Star “Pit Bull Type” dogs and learn more about the great pets they make.
  • Purrfect Pairs for cat adoptions.
  • Free samples of Rachael Ray’s Nutrish dog food to the first 100 patrons.

WHEN: Noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.

WHERE: Montgomery County Humane Society, 14645 Rothgeb Drive, Rockville, MD 20850.

WHO: Prospective dog and cat adopters, and the Montgomery County Humane Society.

COST: Whatever fee adopters wish to pay, plus the county license fee required for Montgomery County residents.

WHY: Pet lovers who adopt a dog or cat this year through Oct. 31, when the challenge ends, will not only give a loving home to a homeless pet, they will ultimately help MCHS save more lives.
