These days, almost everyone knows someone who has been touched by breast cancer, a disease that will strike about one in eight women in the U.S. this year. On Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 7:30 p.m., Chevy Chase At Home (CC@H) will sponsor a health lecture for the community at the Chevy Chase Village Hall on the latest in treatment and management. The speaker, Carolyn B. Hendricks, M.D., is a highly regarded Bethesda oncologist specializing in breast cancer.
Dr. Hendricks trained at Johns Hopkins and has been a local leader in the fight against this devastating disease. She recently returned from an international conference and will talk about "What Is New and Current in Breast Cancer Management."
