More About Suburban Hospital
Suburban Hospital, founded in 1943, is a busy Bethesda hospital that offers major health-care services like emergency care, surgery and outpatient care (not obstetrics, though). As of 2009, Suburban has been a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine; it's also the designated trauma center for Montgomery County and features a helipad. Suburban treats about 1,300 trauma patients yearly and features several major centers -- including those for primary strokes, cancer and radiation, sleep disorders and MRI -- as well as programs for rehabilitation, behavioral health and senior care.
