ArtSpeak! is coming to B-CC High School!!

Artspeak, a program that brings Broadway performers into community schools for an evening of discussion and performance, invites you to join Broadway star, Liz Callaway, and jazz performer, Ann Hampton Callaway, on Monday, November 14 at 7 PM in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Auditorium.  Liz Callaway has appeared on Broadway in Miss Saigon, Cats, Baby, Merrily We Role Along and many other shows.  She is the singing voice of Anastasia in the award-winning animated film and has released three solo CDs.  Ann Hampton Callaway is a jazz pianist, vocalist and composer.  She has released 11 solo CDs and appeared on Broadway in Swing! Her compositions have been recorded by many stars and appear on six Barbra Streisand CDs.  Together, they have released two CDs, “Sibling Revelry” and their brand new work, “Boom!”  and have appeared in major concert halls all over the world.    The Callaway  sisters will come directly to ArtSpeak! from their joint concert appearance at Strathmore on November 13. At ArtSpeak! the Callaways will be interviewed on stage about their careers, answer student questions, perform and sign autographs. The event is free and open to the public.

Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School is a co-educational public school that serves nearly 1850 students in grades 9 through 12. The school, which has been ranked amongst the top high schools in the country, offers an International Baccalaureate diploma program and extensive advanced placement course options. Classes include foreign language, art, math, music, social studies and science. Extensive student clubs and athletic teams are also available. B-CC offers ESOL and caters to students with special needs. The school dates back to 1934.
