Bethesda’s Winter Wonderland kicks off on Saturday, December 1st at 8:00pm with a winter concert featuring four fantastic professional choral groups at Imagination Stage. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.bethesda.org. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.

The celebrations continue on Sunday, December 2nd from 1 – 4pm in Veterans Park, located at the corner of Woodmont and Norfolk Avenues. A magnificent live ice sculpting presentation will transform blocks of ice into wintry works of art followed by choral performances from local school groups. Bethesda - Chevy Chase High School, Garrett Park Elementary School, Norwood School, Our Lady of Lourdes, Seneca Valley High School and Westbrook Elementary School will delight the crowd with holiday music. Additionally, Santa Claus will make a visit to the park that afternoon, and holiday treats will be provided to children. All of Sunday’s events are free, and WASH-FM is serving as the exclusive radio sponsor.

Imagination Stage, located in the heart of downtown Bethesda, produces professional theater performances for children and families year-round. The theater company also provides an extensive education program for children, including numerous classes, workshops and summer camps. Imagination Stage maintains a focus on making the arts accessible to all, including those with special needs. The theater dates back to 1979, and its new building in Bethesda opened in 2003.
