Do you like playing chamber music with friends? Fancy listening to others make ensemble music in a relaxed setting?
Come join members of the Capital City Symphony and other local musicians for socializing, sight-reading, and supper!
Professional and accomplished amateur musicians are encouraged to bring their instruments, and others will be able to relax and enjoy music from a variety of composers, eras, and instrument combinations while roaming from room to room. Talented Teens welcome!
Come to play, or just to listen. Includes a homemade dinner and desserts.
Advance registration is required (so that we can have a headcount for dinner, and so that we can have the right assortment of music.)
This is a fundraiser for the Capital City Symphony. All but $10 of your registration fee is tax-deductible. The Capital City Symphony, a resident arts partner at the Atlas Performing Arts Center in NE Washington, D.C., makes music approachable by *presenting affordable concerts to the public, *performing creative programs in a relaxed concert format, and *providing appealing performance opportunities for talented amateur as well as professional players. More About Bethesda Presbyterian Church
Leaders at the Bethesda Presbyterian Church use three words to sum up the church's mission -- personal, passionate and progressive. While the church has been located on Clarendon Road, in the heart of Bethesda since 1926, the church community itself has roots that date back to 1723, making it one of the oldest church communities in the area. The church promotes social justice and outreach activities in the community, including supporting organizations like Bethesda Cares, Rebuilding Together Montgomery County and Interfaith Works that support homeless and low-income residents. Bethesda Presbyterian Church also actively reaches out to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered population. Free parking is available at next-door Bethesda Elementary School when school functions aren't being held.
