The Bethesda Arts & Entertainment District is accepting applications for the ninth annual Dance Bethesda Concert. Selected dance companies will be invited to perform in the concert on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Round House Theatre and will receive a $600 honorarium. Auditions will be viewed by the Dance Bethesda selection panel consisting of Dan Joyce, School of Dance at George Mason University; Elizabeth Walton, University of Maryland Baltimore County and Septime Webre, The Washington Ballet.
Auditioning companies and choreographers can apply two ways; apply online at www.bethesda.org or mail in a completed application and DVD including one performance piece that is 8-10 minutes in length; resume including past performances and a nonrefundable entry fee of $15. Applications must be received by Friday, November 16, 2012.

More About Bethesda Urban Partnership
The Bethesda Urban Partnership contracts with Montgomery County to conduct marketing and events as well as maintenance for downtown Bethesda. The group also operates the Bethesda Circulator, a free shuttle that provides transportation in the downtown. Popular street festivals such as Taste of Bethesda and Imagination Bethesda are all coordinated by the urban partnership, which was founded in 1994. BUP also created Bethesda Transportation Solutions, which promotes alternative transportation in the downtown, and the Bethesda Arts and Entertainment District.
