The Musical Theatre Conservatory culminating performance is the hip fairy tale Pippin. According to Director Jay Brock, "Pippin is about the journey of a boy who is looking to define his significance in the world by the milestones in his life, and I believe that the theme of finding that significance in the journey rather than waiting to arrive at those milestones is something that will connect to audiences of all ages." Rated PG-13

Imagination Stage, located in the heart of downtown Bethesda, produces professional theater performances for children and families year-round. The theater company also provides an extensive education program for children, including numerous classes, workshops and summer camps. Imagination Stage maintains a focus on making the arts accessible to all, including those with special needs. The theater dates back to 1979, and its new building in Bethesda opened in 2003.
