Six professional Washington, D.C. area theatre companies write, direct, rehearse and perform original plays based on similar themes in only 24 hours. The plays will be presented at the ninth annual Play In A Day, a one-of-a-kind theatrical event.
Play In A Day kicks off on Friday evening, February 8th where playwrights and directors come together to receive their assigned themes and props. Playwrights then work through the night to create their ten-minute masterpieces. As the sun comes up, rehearsals begin as teams of directors and actors prepare anxiously to make the 8pm performance deadline on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
Tickets are $15.

More About Imagination Stage
Imagination Stage, located in the heart of downtown Bethesda, produces professional theater performances for children and families year-round. The theater company also provides an extensive education program for children, including numerous classes, workshops and summer camps. Imagination Stage maintains a focus on making the arts accessible to all, including those with special needs. The theater dates back to 1979, and its new building in Bethesda opened in 2003.
