Have you ever wanted to ride a mechanical bull? Do you enjoy playing carnival games and winning big prizes? Do you like eating hot dogs, cotton candy, and popcorn while simultaneously helping a good cause? If your answers to any of these questions are yes, than the Walter Johnson Feeder School Carnival on February 2^nd from 1pm-5pm is a perfect event for you.

My name is Chris McCurry and I am the Student Government Association President at Walter Johnson High School. This February, Walter Johnson will be participating in the month long fundraising event called “Pennies for Patients” to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and this carnival is our kickoff fundraising event. We have two goals in mind for this carnival; to unite the Walter Johnson community in our fundraising efforts and get prospective Wildcats excited to attend WJ. The Carnival is open to our cluster elementary school, middle school and WJ students. Parents must accompany elementary and middle school kids.  

Here’s some basic information about the carnival: tickets for students will be $5, tickets for adults will be $7 and kids 6 and under get in for free, but are prohibited from going on any rides. We have invested a considerable amount of money in renting equipment including moon bounces, a 170ft inflatable obstacle course, raffle prizes, a DJ and many entertaining carnival games for all ages, but do not worry, the event is 100% clown-free. We will have food and drinks available at the event. Do not worry about safety concerns; we will have security guards and administrative personnel on site.

If you have any carnival style games or prizes (ex: ring tosses, corn hole, hula hoops or small toys) that you would be willing to let us borrow for the event, please contact me at the information provided below.
