 nesewatercolor artist Irene Tsai. With her Chinese background\, Irene ca
 ptures Chinese culture through a variety of symbolic subjects such as lo
 tus\, cranes\, pine\, and bamboo to echo the purity\, longevity\, endura
 nce\, and flexibility of nature. Working with ink and watercolors on ric
 e paper\, Irene uses traditional techniques to express peace and a calm 
 atmosphere. She cordially invites all of you to enter her poetic world. 
 Irene studied calligraphy with her father since she was eight. She first
  studied traditional Chinese paintings with James Liu and\, later on\, w
 ith Henry Wo. Irene is a resident artist at Workhouse Art Center at Lort
