We are entering the season of giving! Each year our YMCA family gives back to our community by sponsoring a number of drives to support those less fortunate. Please read the details for each community outreach venture and donate to one or both of them!
Winter Coats will be collected October 15-November 14 and donated to Bethesda Cares in downtown Bethesda. www.bethesdacares.org
Food Drive: November 1st through December 14th
This year's recipient of our Food Drive will be The Children's Inn at NIH. The Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health is a residential "place like home" for sick children and their families.
The Children's Inn has supplied us with a list of immediate needs for the pantries (see below) but all donations are welcomed: Canned Meats: tuna, salmon, chickenCanned/individually packaged fruit and applesauce, regular and/or long-grained white rice, ready-made meals: Easy Mac, Lipton noodles/rice etc... *Please be sure to check expiration dates on items prior to donating. We want to provide only the best.
