Bethesda, Md., (May 28, 2013)– On Saturday, June 22, Suburban Hospital will host “Ready, Set, Grow!” a FREE, on-site kids’ festival from 1 to 4pm at 8600 Old Georgetown Road. The event will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of pediatrics at the hospital and recognize generous funding from the Shaw Family Foundation. The innovative emergency and inpatient children’s unit will be rededicated as the Shaw Family Pediatric Emergency Center.

Activities will also include carnival games and prizes, face painting, a magic show, a raffle drawing, refreshments and more!

Local youth artists will be recognized for participation in an elementary school “healthy kids” mural competition, as well as for individual painting submissions, which may be selected to decorate patient rooms.
