On Thursday, May 8, Suburban Hospital will host its biennial SHOWCASE fundraiser at the Bethesda Blues and Jazz Super Club 6:30-10:30 pm. Proceeds from the evening will directly benefit Suburban Hospital’s leading-edge Neuroscience Program, which annually serves more than 2,500 patients from throughout the greater Washington, DC region and beyond. The program includes comprehensive treatment of brain and nervous system disorders, including stroke, aneurysms, brain trauma, and more.
Co-Chairs of the event committee are Mark Futrovsky and Mary Kane. Mr. Futrovsky is on the board of the Suburban Hospital Foundation, and is President of Rolyn Companies in Rockville. Mrs. Kane is on the board of Suburban Hospital and serves as President and CEO of Sister Cities International, and previously the Secretary of State in Maryland. The event Honorary Chair is Dr. Jeff Jacobson, one of the area’s leading neurosurgeons who is now a member of Johns Hopkins Neurosurgery at Suburban Hospital.
In addition to highlighting exceptional care and life-saving services, Showcase 2014 will take you back to a vintage era featuring a swanky nightclub environment complete with a VIP reception, cocktails, dinner, live auction, and headline entertainment by inspiring mentalists Oz Pearlman and Max Major and two of New York City’s best jazz and swing ensembles. The evening gathers hundreds of prominent guests, including benefactors and Trustees of the hospital, physicians, and other leaders within our community.
