Suburban Hospital Now Offers Home Sleep Studies

The Sleep Disorders Center at Suburban Hospital now offers home sleep testing. In some cases, insurance companies may require that a home study be completed before, or in lieu of, a hospital-based study. In this case, an intake specialist schedules the patient for an appointment with a sleep technician at Suburban Hospital during which they will provide hands-on education and instruction on the testing process, easy set-up and use in the home.

The Sleep Disorders Centers at Suburban Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility staffed by medical professionals who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. The Center’s physicians have received advanced specialty training in sleep medicine, neurology and psychiatry.

A majority of Americans report problems with their sleep, yet many suffer needlessly because they have not sought help. Left untreated, sleep disorders can contribute to heart attacks, stroke, high blood pressure, clinical depression, diabetes and excessive daytime sleepiness that interferes with normal activities of daily living.
