WHY DONATE? : Community Forklift is a reuse center for home improvement supplies, located in Prince George’s County.  The non-profit picks up donations of modern and vintage building materials throughout the DC region, including renovation leftovers, architectural salvage, appliances, and hardware.  Community Forklift reduces construction waste and demand for natural resources, creates local green jobs, and makes home improvement and repair more affordable for everyone.

Nancy Meyer, CEO of Community Forklift, says, “Every spring, we hold a Spring Soiree and Sale to kick off the garden season and raise funds for our work. We are thrilled that American Plant Nursery and Landscaping and John Shorb Landscaping will be collecting items for our Soiree this year. These collections will make it easy for folks in Northwest DC and Montgomery County to donate, and local community gardeners, teachers, and other folks on a budget will be so grateful for the supplies.”
