ATMTC's hit Musical Three Little Birds premieres Off-Broadway at the New Victory Theatre February 7-23, 2014

GLEN ECHO, MD – Adventure Theatre MTC (ATMTC) and Producing Artistic Director Michael J. Bobbitt announce the NY Off-Broadway Premiere of Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds at the New Victory Theatre February 7-23, 2014 after a local run at the recently completed Bowie State Fine and Performing Arts Center in January, 2014. Three Little Birds premiered at Adventure Theatre MTC in March 2013 and is based on the book by Cedella Marley with music & lyrics by reggae legend Bob Marley, and enjoyed a well-received run earlier this season. Ticket information for the season is at available at NewVictory.org and at (646) 223-3010. Ticket information will be announced for the Bowie State Fine and Performing Arts Center later this year.

The entire cast is reprising their roles including: S.Lewis Feemster, Ayanna Hardy, David Little, Michael Mainwaring, Angeleaza Anderson, Jobari Parker-Namdar, Brittany Williams, and Tara Yates-Reeves. The show was adapted and choreographed by Michael J. Bobbitt who selected a design team that includes Director Nick Olcott, Arranger and Orchestrator John L. Cornelius, II, Assistant Director Adi Stein, Music Director Darius Smith, Set Designer Joe Musumeci, Costume Designer Kendra Rai, Properties Designer Andrea “Dre” Moore, Lighting Designer Brian Allard and Sound Designer Neil McFadden.

Three little birds sing their sweet songs to Ziggy, a very shy child who is happy to see the world from the television in his room. But with the help of his feathered friends and his naughty neighbor Nansi, Ziggy’s reminded in soothing six-part harmony that “every little thing’s gonna be all right.”  A jammin’ musical with live accompaniment featuring the timeless music and lyrics of Bob Marley and based on the children’s book by his daughter Cedella, Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds shares the legendary reggae artist’s message of peace and love with a new generation of songbirds.
