Have a burger, have a drink, and help our community's most vulnerable!

On June 11, eat, drink and be merry at BlackFinn and support Bethesda Cares, a community outreach program for the homeless! MENTION THIS POST, and 10 percent of proceeds will go to Bethesda Cares.

Sometimes nearly invisible, there are dozens of individuals, here in Bethesda and throughout Montgomery County, currently living in alleyways, in local parks, in the Metro.

There are hundreds more in such dire financial straits that they are at immediate risk of losing their homes. They need our help, and they need it now. Working directly on the streets—located right on Woodmont Avenue—Bethesda Cares has served Montgomery County’s working poor and homeless, for 25 years.

Take a look at what we did last year:

  • Our Drop-In Center let 117 people to speak directly with a psychiatrist for mental health issues or prescription assistance;
  • We offered a warm, comfortable space in which 934 people came to sit, have a snack and share a smile; and
  • Our Housing Stabilization program helped 1,086 people avoid eviction, including 584 children.

All day, on Tuesday, June 11, BlackFinn American Saloon and Bethesda Cares, a community outreach program for the homeless, are teaming up in support of our community. JUST MENTION THIS POST, and BlackFinn will donate 10 percent of any purchases to Bethesda Cares.
