WHAT:          Comptroller Peter Franchot and Treasurer Nancy Kopp will lead a discussion on how Montgomery County’s economy can grow even in the face of a government shutdown. Business and industry leaders, advocacy groups and state and county government officials will give first-hand accounts of the economic climate in the county and the direction it is headed with suggestions for how the county and state can assist local businesses. The event’s sessions will include a review of economic data and statistics from faculty of the University of Maryland.  Full agenda attached
