WHAT: Comptroller Peter Franchot and Treasurer Nancy Kopp will lead a discussion on how Montgomery County’s economy can grow even in the face of a government shutdown. Business and industry leaders, advocacy groups and state and county government officials will give first-hand accounts of the economic climate in the county and the direction it is headed with suggestions for how the county and state can assist local businesses.
