Pop Up Book Sale Needs Volunteers

Books for America is a DC based charity that provides free books to schools and organizations in the DMV area. For more information check out our website at www.booksforamerica.org 

Books for America is hosting its annual pop-up used book sale at the end of August. This year we will be hosting the sale near Bethesda Row at 4733 Bethesda Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814. We will need help from volunteers to restock tables with books, CDs, DVDs, and LPs; help check out customers; direct customers to various tables with different genres on them; and, help aid in loss-prevention. The dates of the sale are going to be Thursday, August 22nd through Tuesday, August 27th from 11AM-8PM daily. We are especially looking for help on the weekends and during evening hours.

 

We will also be needing help to set up the sale in the days prior. On Tuesday and Wednesday, august 20th and 21st we will be setting up tables in the venue and stocking them with books. Set-up will be from 8:30-4:30 on both days and we can use all the help we can get!

 

Volunteers are given a 20% discount on all items for sale (up to $20 in discounts).  We are only taking volunteers 18 years or older and must be able to stand/walk around for the entire shift.
