Rose Li Announces Candidacy for Maryland House of Delegates, District 16

Longtime Bethesda resident and business owner, Rose Li, has filed to run as a Republican for the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 16, which includes Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Glen Echo, Potomac, and Rockville.

“I am running to bring balance back to Maryland,” said Rose Li, noting that political offices in the state have been predominantly held by Democrats for more than 25 years. “I believe a two-party system is critical to reaching smart and sensible solutions for today, and for the future. As a representative in the Maryland Assembly, I will offer an independent voice and will not shy away from asking the hard questions and demanding accountability. I will work hard to realize efficiencies that save us time and money, with an eye toward long- term prosperity and quality of life for us all.”

Li says there needs to be greater focus on promoting economic development, improving education, increasing budget transparency and accountability, and securing needed resources and infrastructure for District 16.
