Hello Patch Readers! My name is Shannon Morgan and I’m the community editor for several Patch.com sites in Maryland.

I’m new to Patch and can’t wait to get to know you and your communities better.

So, let’s get to know each other.  Here are 5 things about me:

1. As Community Editor, I oversee Patch.com sites in Baltimore, Carroll, Howard and Montgomery counties. If you live in Westminster, Towson, Lutherville-Timonium, Owings Mills, Catonsville, Elkridge, Columbia, Ellicott City, Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, Rockville or Gaithersburg, then I’m your go-to-gal for the blogs in those areas.

2. I love Maryland. I’ve lived here most of my life. I was the senior editor of the now-defunct Maryland Life magazine for six years. I love sharing the stories that showcase our state.

3. My first editorial job was as a romance book editor. Yep, you read that right.

4. I love social media and engaging with readers online. I look forward to chatting with you on Facebook, Twitter and, of course, on the Patch.com sites.

5. I am your resource for all things Patch, especially the blogs and the boards. Got questions, like how to start a blog, or need help resetting your password? Send me an email at shannon dot morgan at patch dot com. I’m happy to help.

Now, it’s your turn. Say hi in the comments below. Share one fun fact if you want.
