Celebrating The Lunar New Year With Dance

Dance Bethesda rang in the Year of the Dragon in style.

Millions in Asia and across the globe are gathering this Jan. 23 to celebrate the Lunar New Year, the launch of the Year of the Dragon.

The occasion is marked by feasting, fireworks, and reunions with family, according to the Huffington Post.

"In ancient times the dragon was a symbol reserved for the Chinese emperor, and it is considered to be an extremely auspicious sign," the Huffington Post reports.
