Her opponents, J. Tarter-Fox and David Moore, seemed to be doing better than Gordon for most of the show. Going into the final Jeopardy! question, "David [was] in the lead with $21,600. J was next with $20,000 and Rachel was in third place with $6,200," FickleFame.com reported.
But that final question was where Gordon really shone. Its answer was "Who is (Stephen) Hawking?" and only Gordon got it right. She bet $1,200 and finished with $7,400.
"J wrote down what Trebek said looked like 'Elton John' (a/k/a The Rocket Man). He bet $19,999 and finished with $1. [And,] David wrote down David Cameron, the UK’s Prime Minister. He bet $18,401 so he ended up in second place with $3,199," FickleFame.com reported.
Congratulations, Rachel Gordon!
