County Executive Distributes Food at Manna, Helps Launch 2013 'Give and Ride' Program

Ride On passengers get a free ride in exchange for a non-perishable food item or children's item.

As part of the 2013 launch of Ride On's annual "Give and Ride" program, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett joined Manna Food Center Executive Director Minerva Delgado on Thursday to urge residents to make donations to the food drive.

As part of the program, Ride On passengers get a free ride in exchange for a non-perishable food item or children’s item. Others may participate in the food drive by giving their donations to any Ride On bus driver or by sending contributions directly to Manna.

Disposable diapers, formula, baby or toddler food and juice are especially useful to families in need.
