Gas Leak Closes Downtown Bethesda Street Over Lunch Hour

A gas leak briefly closed Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda Tuesday just before lunchtime.

A gas leak briefly closed Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda Tuesday just before lunchtime.

Wisconsin Avenue had been closed at Woodmont Avenue. It has reopened, reports WTOP.

The gas line affected is a 1 1/4-inch line, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.
