Get Out: Ideas For the Weekend
Imagination Bethesda and the Big Train's opening game highlight the weekend.
Summer is (unofficially) here, so celebrate with outdoor concerts, festivals, and of course, baseball. Our picks for the weekend:

Why Go: Check out Latin American music from the Sweet Saludos as a part of the Bethesda Urban Partnership's free outdoor summer concert series in Veteran's Park. The concerts are happening each Thursday evening during May and June.

Where/When: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, June 2, on Auburn and Norfolk avenues
Why Go: Check out this fun – and free – children’s street festival that celebrates the arts. The annual event will feature hands-on activities for kids, professional children’s entertainers and live music.
Price: Free.
Where/When: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at private gardens in Bethesda and Chevy Chase. Check in at McCrillis Gardens, 6910 Greentree Road in Bethesda.
Why Go: Avid gardeners and as garden hobbyists alike will enjoy glimpsing some of the most fabulous gardens in Bethesda and Chevy Chase during this second annual tour, at the height of garden season.
Price: $5 - $20
Where/When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Shirley Povich Field, 10600 Westlake Drive in Bethesda
Why Go: The Bethesda Big Train is back for the summer! The collegiate baseball team, in the Cal Ripken League, will play their opening game against the Maryland Patriots this Saturday. The team is coming off back-to-back-to-back championships and is ranked the number one overall summer collegiate team in the nation.
Price: $9 for adults, $5 for seniors and kids 6- 12, $7 for students and military with ID.
Where/When: 5:30 p.m. Friday, June 1, at Capital Beer and Wine, 7903 Norfolk Ave. in Bethesda
Why Go: Sample world class wines with master winemaker Charles Gendrot.
