After a 100-day wait, the Smithsonian's National Zoo Sunday named its female panda cub Bao Bao (bow-BOW), meaning "treasure" or "precious," according to news reports.
That tiny little panda born in August at the National Zoo received her name after 123,000 votes were cast online by the public.
Below were the choices:
Bao Bao: Precious, treasure. Boa Boa
Ling Hua: Darling, delicate flower. Ling Hua

Long Yun: Long is the Chinese symbol of the dragon; Yun means charming. Combined this represents a sign of luck for panda cooperation between China and the United States. Long Yun
